The increase in social media use of Facebook lite by using Android-based smartphones is quite high. Finally, we analyzed the tools on the basis of their ability to extract digital evidences from the device and their performance are examined with respect to NIST standards. This useful data can easily be recovered by forensic analysts for future examination of any crime situation. From the results of these experiments, a considerable amount of essential data was successfully extracted from the examined smartphone. Data extraction and analysis are carried out using three tools, i.e., Magnet AXIOM, XRY, and Autopsy. The essential motivation behind the examination and tests is to find whether the data resides within the internal storage of the device or not after using these social networking apps.

This research is aimed at performing forensic investigation of five social networking apps, i.e., Instagram, LINE, Whisper, WeChat, and Wickr on Android smart phones. Many of such crimes are carried out through social networking apps therefore, the forensic analysis of allegedly involved digital devices in crime scenes and social apps installed on them can be helpful in resolving criminal investigations. This momentous usage has also resulted in a huge spike in cybercrimes such as social harassing, abusive messages, vicious threats, broadcasting of suicidal actions, and live coverage of violent attacks. The use of social networking apps on smartphones has become a dominating part of daily lives. Smartphone users spend a substantial amount of time in browsing, emailing, and messaging through different social networking apps. In this study, we conducted a detailed forensic investigation of both Android and iOS OSs to (1) elucidate their structures for investigators, (2) identify pertinent forensic artifacts, (3) highlight any privacy and security concerns in popular applications present on both OSs, and (4) validate the forensic investigation on the selected tools for reproducibility and verification purposes. The current research efforts focus on the forensic analysis of individual applications of certain OSs.

The only thing that I can find is that they got offended that I am interviewing with other companies or that I asked for flight tickets more apart than a day or two. There was no transparency whatsoever in what happened. I was then told that "I am not a good fit." They said they are closed that day, so I offered another date while being open to a second one. I asked if a specific day would work for them. The other company didn't care at all when I fly in or out, so I emailed back the recruiter to tell them that I will be there for the week. However, in those emails, I was just told a few times that if I am there, they will interview me. They rejected both option without any explanation even after I asked for one, even though they were the ones who offered to fly me there previously. In case that doesn't work, I also offered to fly there and do just their interview. But it is against imo's policy, which is a bit strange, but I can kind of understand.Īfter another company offered to buy me flight tickets, I talked to the recruiter again and asked if they can cover a one-way ticket so the cost is split between two companies. This is pretty standard and I know many people who have done it. So I asked for flight tickets covering the duration of the week as it's the same cost for them. Given that I don't live in California, I wanted to group my onsites so they are in the same week. I was told the next day that I passed and they want to bring me onsite, covering my flight tickets. This is where things started getting weird. The interview was pretty standard, and the question was interesting.
